“It isn't always easy, but it can be!” - Timothy Pennington

    My Story

    Timothy Pennington

Music is a fine way to work it out!

I am a long time Musician making Nashville my Home many years ago. I Played Guitar and Bass in Bands through the years. and It is always a departure from the stress of daily life to be on the stage.

For many years I had been in several Bands , mostly Rock N Roll influenced by 60s and 70s music. The Rolling Stones, Beatles, Led Zeppelin, and the Who. Pete Townsend was a strong influence on my guitar style. I loved that choppy rhythm.

My real roots however were growing up around Bluegrass with my family. We lived in Southeastern Ky. In my early years my Father was a great Banjo Picker, and I learned a lot sitting in with him on the front porch. This opened my mind to many different styles and musicians, especially Folk and Indie; from Bob Dylan to Joni Mitched, John Prine, and way too many others to mention here.

Over the past year I have been playing out at local Nashville songwriter rounds. The Commodore, Millennial Maxwell House, Bobby’s Idle Hour, and many East Nashville venues. I hope to hear from you out there, and look forward to continuing this journey.
